President Donald Trump says the US could end the Iran war fast but is weighing whether to "finish it off or just want to let it wither," according to a short social media post summarizing his remarks.
He also claimed oil is flowing through Hormuz and said, "We are getting everything we want." Those are his assertions. The post offers no independent confirmation of either one, and it does not say where or when he spoke.
So the endgame of a war is on the table as a choice between finishing it and letting it wither. The oil claim has no backup in the source.
